Felts

Our range of felt products is being manufactured using an advanced felting process to form the most comprehensive range of refractory ceramic fibre felts available. They are easily cut with standard tools and die-cutting equipment. These high strength felts are made from blends of various refractory fibres with a small amount of organic binder, offering light weight, low thermal conductivity and exceptional handling characteristics.

With a wide thickness range and operating temperatures up to 1600°C, our felt products provide one of the most flexible product families available.


Typical applications are:
  • High temperature industrial gasketing
  • Ingot mould liners
  • Foundry ladle back-up insulation
  • Back-up insulation in liquid metal transport system
