Rilco® high density calsil (Hot)

As an adaptation to cold insulated supports, high temperature supports were developed to take advantage of many of the cold insulated support features over standard direct contact devices such as welded or clamp-on supports. The qualified service temperature is between -10 º F (-23 º C) and 1200 º F (650 º C), and to 1800 º F (983 º C ) for some special applications.
These 'hot' supports serve the following benefits:
  • Heat conservation.
  • Reduces localized stresses.
  • Prevents deterioration of the piping insulation.
  • Preserves the process temperature of the fluid in the pipe.
  • Prevents the heating of the supporting structure.
  • Prevents the use and welding of high cost of alloy supports to alloy piping.
  • Prevents shop welding of pipe supports in pipe fabrication yards.
  • Reduces installations costs of piping insulation by eliminating special insulation transitions cutouts
