Casting and cutting/sawing lubricants

In billet formation, it is recognised that a minute amount of lubricant is needed to reduce friction and to increase productivity and surface quality. Lubricant is injected through graphite rings and produces an air cushion so that the billets can flow more easily and, subsequently form a high quality surface. Our casting lubricants are used as separating agents for the continuous casting of aluminium, outperform classical lubricants such as canola, rapeseed and others.
In a continuous cutting operation, like circular sawing, the application of a lubricant is critical to ensure the integrity of the surface and the quality of the cut. High heat extractions properties, elimination of staining in heat-treat or annealing stages, and high lubrication values are distinct advantages provided by lubricants for sawing applications.
